Buddy Focus Planner ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit buddyfocusplanner.com.

1. What We Track

Marketing pages (buddyfocusplanner.com): We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website. This collects anonymous data such as pages visited, time on site, and general geographic region. We also use Google AdSense to display ads on these pages.

BuddyPlanner app (buddyfocusplanner.com/buddyplanner/): We do not run any analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies inside the planner app. Your planning activity is completely private.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, server logs beyond basic hosting, or any other tracking tools.

2. Information You Voluntarily Provide

The only personal data we ever receive is what you choose to send us:

• Email via contact form — when you message us through the contact page, your email address and message are sent to us via Formspree. We use it solely to reply to you. We delete inquiries after 90 days.
• Newsletter sign-up — if you subscribe to our newsletter, your email is stored with our newsletter provider. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• BuddyPlanner app account — if you create an account in the BuddyPlanner dashboard, we store your email and encrypted password only for authentication.

3. Planner Data Stays in Your Browser

All planner data you create inside the BuddyPlanner dashboard is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. We never upload, store, or access your daily plans, habits, brain dumps, or any other personal planning data on our servers.

4. Third-Party Services

• Google Analytics — used on marketing pages only (not the planner app). Collects anonymous usage data. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdSense — used on marketing pages only (not the planner app). May use cookies to serve relevant ads. See Google Ads Technology.
• Etsy — purchases are processed entirely by Etsy. We do not receive or store your payment details.
• Formspree — contact form submissions are routed through Formspree. See their privacy policy at formspree.io/privacy.
• Cloudflare — we use Cloudflare for CDN and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may process minimal connection metadata. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's servers. Per Google, no logging occurs when fonts are used via the CSS API.

5. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

• Cookie consent — a single functional cookie (bfp_cc) that remembers whether you accepted or declined cookies. Expires after 1 year.
• Google Analytics — may set cookies (e.g., _ga, _gid) to distinguish users on marketing pages only. These are first-party cookies set by Google.
• Google AdSense — may set cookies to serve relevant ads on marketing pages only. You can manage ad preferences at Google Ad Settings.

The BuddyPlanner app does not use any cookies. All planner data is stored in your browser's localStorage.

6. Data Security

We use HTTPS across the entire site. Any account passwords are hashed and salted. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing cs@buddyfocusplanner.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:

• Request disclosure of collected personal information
• Request deletion of personal information
• Opt out of the sale of personal information
